Refund & Membership Policy

Village Haven LLC, wholly owned by Heart Space Sanctuary, a faith-based 508(c)(1)(a) ministry.

Effective Date: October 24, 2025

This Refund & Membership Policy ("Policy") governs the structure of subscriptions, membership contributions, cancellations, and refund considerations for Village Haven LLC ("Village Haven," "we," or "us"). It is intended to honor the spiritual foundation upon which this community rests while operating within the clarity and responsibility that consumer protection standards require. This Policy describes potential membership offerings if Village Haven offers membership in the future.

By enrolling in a membership, submitting a payment, or accessing subscription-based features on the Platform, you agree to the terms of this Policy.

1. Purpose of Membership

Village Haven offers a membership model designed to keep the Platform accessible while sustaining the resources necessary to support our community of single parents and Providers. Membership contributions help maintain technology, verification processes, safety protocols, and the overall integrity of the Platform.

Because Village Haven is wholly owned by a faith-based ministry, contributions also support the ministry's charitable and community initiatives, including support for vulnerable families and those experiencing hardship.

Membership is not a donation to a nonprofit organization, nor is it tax-deductible. It is a Platform access fee.

2. Membership Structure

Village Haven offers a flexible membership structure grounded in generosity and dignity:

  • A.Monthly Subscription. A recurring commitment granting continued access to Platform features.
  • B.Annual Subscription. A discounted yearly commitment for Users seeking long-term participation.
  • C."Pay-What-You-Feel-Is-Right" Model. A spiritually rooted structure allowing you to contribute the amount that aligns with your means, values, and experience on the Platform.

All membership options provide access to:

  • A. Verified profiles and in-app messaging;
  • B. Service listings and community offerings;
  • C. Dispute-resolution mechanisms;
  • D. Safety and reporting tools;
  • E. Resource materials and ministry-aligned guidance.

Village Haven reserves the right to introduce additional membership tiers or benefits and will communicate any substantive changes in advance.

3. Billing and Payment Terms

Membership fees are charged automatically according to the billing cycle selected at enrollment. You authorize Village Haven and its payment processors to maintain your payment information and charge the applicable fees until you cancel your subscription.

You are responsible for ensuring that your payment method remains valid and updated. Failed payments may result in temporary suspension of access until the issue is resolved.

4. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your membership at any time through your account settings.

Cancellation will prevent future charges but does not, by default, entitle you to a refund for previously processed payments.

Upon cancellation:

  • A. Your membership will remain active through the end of the current billing cycle;
  • B. Your profile may be archived or limited;
  • C. You may rejoin the Platform at any time, subject to screening and verification requirements.

5. Refund Policy

Village Haven operates under a refund structure that balances fairness to Users with the financial stability required to maintain a safe, compliant, and community-centered Platform.

  • A. Refunds Are Generally Not Issued. Because subscriptions immediately grant access to Platform tools, identity-verified communities, and protected communication features, membership fees are generally non-refundable.
  • B. Exceptions May Apply. Village Haven may, at its sole discretion, consider partial or full refunds under the following circumstances:

    • Duplicate or accidental charges verified through our system;
    • Billing errors caused by technical malfunction;
    • Immediate cancellation following an unintended renewal, if reported promptly;
    • Documented safety issues that materially obstructed your ability to use the Platform;
    • Verified access limitations caused by system outages or account setup errors.

Requests will be reviewed compassionately and individually, with respect for the dignity of every User.

6. Service Provider Payments

Service agreements between Users and Providers, whether monetary or non-monetary, are independent transactions between those parties.

Village Haven:

  • A. Does not set Provider rates;
  • B. Does not guarantee earnings or payment;
  • C. Does not issue refunds for services provided or not provided by Providers;
  • D. Does not intervene in private negotiations except through the dispute-resolution process.

Users seeking refunds from Providers must resolve those matters directly with the relevant party.

7. Changes to Membership Terms or Fees

Village Haven may revise membership offerings, features, or pricing periodically.

If changes materially affect your membership, we will provide notice before such changes take effect. Continued access following notice constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

8. Compliance with State and Federal Law

Because the Platform initially launches in California, Village Haven applies California consumer-protection and subscription-renewal rules, including:

  • A. Clear disclosure of auto-renewal terms;
  • B. Affirmative consent before enrollment;
  • C. Simple and accessible cancellation procedures;
  • D. Timely confirmation emails and renewal notices.

As Village Haven expands into additional jurisdictions, we will adjust practices to remain compliant with all applicable laws.

9. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where California law controls consumer matters during the Platform's initial launch.

10. Acceptance

By enrolling in a membership or purchasing access to Platform services, you affirm that:

  • A. You have read this Policy in its entirety;
  • B. You understand the nature of the fees and the scope of the membership;
  • C. You accept the limitations on refunds and the terms of cancellation;
  • D. You join this community in a spirit of goodwill, integrity, and mutual respect.
