User Agreement

1. Purpose of the Platform

Village Haven provides an online space that connects individuals ("Users") seeking assistance, whether practical, emotional, or skill-based, with service providers ("Providers") offering such support. These interactions may involve monetary payments, non-monetary exchanges, or collaborative arrangements agreed upon by Users directly.

Village Haven itself does not provide services. Rather, we offer a structured digital environment where Users may find one another, communicate, and enter into agreements independently.

2. Eligibility

To use the Platform, you must:

• A. Be at least eighteen (18) years old;
• B. Possess legal capacity to enter into binding contracts;
• C. Provide accurate and truthful information during registration;
• D. Complete all identity verification and background screening requirements;
• E. Abide by Village Haven's Community Standards & Safety Policy, and all terms referenced herein.

Your eligibility may be reassessed periodically. The Platform may deny, suspend, or terminate access where safety, misuse, or legal concerns arise.

3. Relationship of the Parties

This Agreement does not create an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary obligation, or agency between Village Haven and any User. You understand and agree that:

• A. Users negotiate and enter into their own service arrangements;
• B. Users are responsible for setting their own rates, terms, and scope of offerings;
• C. Users are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable tax, licensing, and business laws;
• D. Village Haven does not supervise, direct, or control the work of any User.

We provide a Platform, nothing more and nothing less. Your autonomy is honored, and your responsibilities are your own.

4. User Responsibilities

By using the Platform, you agree to:

• A. Engage with others honestly, respectfully, and in good faith;
• B. Provide accurate information and update it as needed;
• C. Respond to communications in a timely manner;
• D. Maintain the confidentiality of other Users’ information;
• E. Protect your account credentials;
• F. Comply with all laws applicable to your conduct and transactions;
• G. Refrain from misconduct, harassment, fraud, exploitation, or any act that threatens the safety or dignity of another User.

Where misconduct is reported, Village Haven may, in its sole discretion, restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the Platform.

5. Background Screening and Verification

All Users agree to submit to identity verification and background screening as described in the Background Check Authorization & Disclosure. Participation on the Platform is conditioned upon completing and maintaining compliant status with these procedures.

Village Haven reserves the right to conduct additional checks or request supplemental documentation where concerns arise.

6. Communications and Interactions Between Users

The Platform includes messaging features that allow Users to communicate directly. You agree to use these features responsibly and solely for matters related to services arranged through the Platform.

Village Haven does not monitor or pre-screen communications, but may review or disclose messages when legally required, when necessary for safety, or when enforcing this Agreement.

You understand that any agreement formed between Users is solely between those Users, and Village Haven is not a party to such arrangements.

7. Payments, Exchanges, and Fees

Users may engage in:

• A. Monetary exchanges processed through approved payment systems;
• B. Non-monetary or service-based exchanges mutually agreed upon;
• C. Subscription plans or membership fees set by Village Haven;
• D. “Pay-What-You-Feel-Is-Right” membership options, where offered.

Village Haven may charge service, platform, or subscription fees. These fees will be disclosed transparently prior to purchase.

Village Haven is not responsible for the legality, enforceability, or fairness of agreements made between Users. You are encouraged to exercise judgment and establish clear terms.

8. No Professional Advice

Village Haven does not provide legal, medical, psychological, financial, or professional advice. Any information on the Platform is provided for general purposes only.

Users offering professional services are solely responsible for ensuring appropriate licensure and compliance with all laws governing their fields.

9. Safety and Reporting Mechanisms

Village Haven places the highest value on safety. If you believe a User is behaving inappropriately, posing a risk, or violating this Agreement, you must report the matter immediately.

Village Haven may take action including, but not limited to:

• A. Investigation of reports,
• B. Temporary account holds,
• C. Permanent removal from the Platform, or
• D. Referral to law enforcement when legally warranted.

We act not with judgment, but with devotion to community welfare.

10. Intellectual Property

Village Haven owns all rights to the Platform's content, design, branding, and technological infrastructure. Users may not copy, distribute, reproduce, modify, or create derivative works from Platform content without express written permission.

Users retain rights to content they upload but grant Village Haven a limited license to display, host, and transmit such content for Platform operation.

11. Privacy

Your privacy is described in detail in the Privacy Notice incorporated by reference into this Agreement. By using the Platform, you agree to the data practices set forth therein.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time. Village Haven may suspend or terminate your access:

• A. For violations of this Agreement;
• B. For safety concerns;
• C. For failure to pass or maintain background screening thresholds;
• D. For unlawful behavior or misuse of the Platform.

Termination does not relieve you of obligations previously incurred with other Users.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• A. Village Haven is not liable for any interactions, agreements, or disputes between Users;
• B. Village Haven is not responsible for injury, harm, loss, or damages arising from User conduct;
• C. Your exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the Platform is to discontinue use.

This limitation reflects the nature of the Platform as a facilitative tool, not a direct service provider.

14. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where California law controls issues related to consumer protection and privacy during the Platform's initial launch.

15. Amendments

Village Haven may amend this Agreement from time to time. Updates will be posted with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

16. Acceptance

By creating an account, clicking "I Agree," or using the Platform, you affirm that:

• A. You have read this Agreement in full;
• B. You have reviewed and understood the Background Check Authorization & Disclosure and agree to comply with all related procedures;
• C. You understand your rights and responsibilities;
• D. You consent to be bound by every term herein;
• E. You join this community with integrity, dignity, and goodwill.
